TBT to the originals! The very first Tactical Games in Ardmore, TN May 2018. @chad_ray_coaching reminded us just how far we’ve come: “Funny story about the first Tactical Games, we had very little information. Most of us didn’t even get the email about a week out with the events lined out. We knew about the weapons and ammo requirements and that it would be “CrossFit meets combat,” but that was it. I had way more gear with me than I needed because I didn’t know what to expect. I think I even had a ballistic helmet with me. It’s an amazing event with awesome, badass people and I’m excited to see it growing.” Can’t wait to see everyone again this weekend. . . .

Athletes can be measured using five metrics: Size, Speed, Strength, Stamina, and Stretch. If you compare two athletes in these five categories and assign them a numeric value from 1-5, the athlete with the highest score will usually win. As tactical athletes we are all over the first four metrics while almost ubiquitously ignoring the fifth; Stretch. If you have plateaued in your performance and can’t seem to increase in any of the first four “S” categories you may look at your “Stretch” or your flexibility. Flexibility provides not only better range of motion, but more strength throughout your range of motion. By volume, stretching should be 1/3 of your workout time. If you workout for 60 minutes, you should Stretch for 20 minutes identifying the key muscle groups hit during your training. Slow and steady wins the day. Consistency equals results! @ashleighrgass @kylerjamesmovement @move_training www.Movegst.com

Wall climbs require upper pulling and lower pushing strength along with coordination and some technique. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• How to train for wall climbs: • Start by hanging from the wall. Now try and pull yourself up. If you barely budge - add Lat pull downs and pull ups into your training programs. If you can pull yourself to waist high you have 2 options: • Option 1- The Roll- With your pressed against the wall roll over with your stomach on top of the wall and horizontal and parallel to the wall. • Option 2- The Straddle- Instead of rolling over the wall swing one leg over and straddle the wall. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Training tips: • Fingertip pull ups- As walls get higher you may not be able to get your entire hand on the wall. Practice finger tip pull ups and dead hangs to strengthen the hands. • Plyometrics- Build explosive leg power with box jumps, squat jump and reach and other plyo movements . . .

As our alumni athletes already know, The Tactical Ges seeks out and finds very unique sites that allow us to push the envelope, put shooters in they have never been in before, and challenge them in ways that only The Tactical Ges can. Once again, we have succeeded in finding such a place! GTI is truly a unique training facility. Not open to the public for many years, only used by certain Government agencies and SOF units, GTI has opened its doors to allow us to host our event there and this event will look vastly different from any previous Tactical Ges events. GTI is a decommissioned nuclear processing plant. Its buildings are massive, they are veritable “rat-mazes” and labyrinthian in nature. This allows us to host aClose Quarter Battle-Centric Ges event. Yes! We will be running and shooting inside these buildings!! Oh Yeah!!!!! This setting provides a Rainbow Six-style atmosphere and will definitely be an Athlete pleaser!!!!! If you have been to other Tactical Ges events and enjoyed them, you will NOT want to miss this event! But if you are that shooter who regularly runs up to the sixth floor rooftop of a building and shoots into a vehicle parked 150 yard away, engages multiple targets across an array, then runs to another part of the rooftop, and continues to engage “threats” as they move from floor to floor, this event may not be for you! I guessing most athletes, including military and law enforcement do NOT get to shoot like we will be shooting at GTI. It is simply one of the most unique facilities I’ve ever had the privilege to work in! @recon_ro @ravinperry . . .

Check out these beauties from Aero Precision. One of these rifles will be on the prize table for Atlanta and the other will be up for grabs through the Mission22 and Aero Precision raffle. These are Atlas R-1 rifles 16” barrel Geiselle triggers Chambered multi for both 5.56 and .233 MOE pistol grips- and buttstocks Which color would you choose? . . .

The Government Training Institute (GTI) in South Carolina is the site of our first urban oriented Tactical Games event. This is the design for the SC trophies. If you are out there striving to win one of these trophies, post a video of you training and tag us! . . .

Most of you may not know that out trophies are custom-designed, laser-cut, hand-assembled trophies. We make small changes at every event to make these trophies truly unique and custom in every way. You won’t win the trophy in Atlanta, you either already won it in your training or you didn’t. Who is taking one of these bad boys home? . . .

Short Range Training Ammo (SRTA) will be used at GTI for the SC event. SRTA is a plastic bullet that allows specialized units to train indoors without the risk of overpenetration. The use of SRTA is what allows The Tactical Games to design indoor battles and allow our athletes to experience what only elite Green Berets, SEALs, and SWAT officers have traditionally experienced. If you noticed the extra expense for the South Carolina event, it is so we can supply our athletes with the SRTA they will need during the 2-day event. You absolutely cannot get the same result with paintball or Simmunitions. SRTA is a real bullet, that allows your rifle to work as it normally does. SRTA will you if shot with it. But it’s limited terminal ballistics make it the ideal round for the GTI-based Games event in August! @gtitraining @gtilegion . . .

For The Tactical Games slings on the weapons are required. The amount of equipment an athlete carries, walls climbed, tunnels crawled through, and obstacles negotiated, require that an athlete have a sling on their rifle. Sling choice is personal preference just be sure to practice and be comfortable with it come event day. @recon_ro @bruteforcetactical @bruteforcesandbags @lubeckiprzemek . . .

Secret Events within Battles In some cases, there are activities within the Battles that we keep secret until the athlete gets to that point in the Battle. When we include these tasks, there are always staff on site to guide the athletes through the tasks. These tasks are always intellectual in nature and are geared to force the athlete out of their sympathetic nervous system into their parasympathetic nervous system. In other words, it forces them to change from Go! Go! Go! To Think, Think, Think! Overruling the with the mind. Although it sounds simple, in the moment, this can prove to be very difficult. @recon_ro @jeremynmoore . . .

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Select Medical/ Select Physical Therapy to provide medical as well as athletic trainer services at our events. They will be on site at the Atlanta Tactical Games to assist with musculoskeletal injuries, heat emergencies and provide other medical services . . .
