You can never be over dressed or over educated ✩ Link in my bio for the video summary of my first week of internship! My tips for internship hunting: • revise, revise, revise your resume • create a cover letter template that you can reuse • DO NOT forget to change the name of the company in your cover letter • use exact wording from the job descriptions • create a spreadsheet of you’re interested in • make deadlines for yourself to follow up with companies about a week after the deadline (or about two weeks after you apply) • did I mention revise your resume? it should be the single most perfect document • utilize school resources • be realistic about what you would actually do and don’t waste everyone’s time applying if you won’t take the position • don’t lose your application momentum (I was sending in about one application everyday for two months before I finally landed my internship - which by the way, I love)
Cheers to surviving the first half of the week 🥂 Right about now, I missing last weekend and this beautiful view from Rosé Terrace on National Rosé Day. I started my summer internship this week and it has been nonstop since Monday! In addition to my full-time internship, I’m also doing research and working a part-time job for extra money 💰 In busy times like these, my biggest strategy is to just plan and map out every minute of my day. Basically, I don’t give myself the time to decide if I’m going to work on my lit review or watch an episode of Greys Anatomy because I’ve already scheduled the time for a particular purpose so the decision is made (the Productivity app helps a lot with this). When my whole day is “automated,” I save my mental energy for work instead of running into a wall of decision-fatigue.
Home sweet apartment I’m not a big library studier so I think it’s so important to have a space that you love. For me that means decorating and redecorating my apartment constantly 😂 since classes are out for the summer, I have been finishing up some projects and figured it would be a good time to share what my apartment looks like! 🔗 link in my bio
Reflecting on my first year at Columbia, I think the biggest things I’ve learned are: • grad school doesn’t want you to fail • remember that you are here for a reason • people are there to help but your education is your responsibility now • just because you learned it in undergrad, doesn’t mean you won’t learn new facets in grad school • new york city is like any true love in that it drives you crazy and is ever-changing • the people you meet will be your family, your support system, your study group, your best friends Answering some FAQs about the first year of my MPH program in a new video 🔗 in bio

Tight jeans, short skirts, low cut tops... there is no excuse and never an invitation. . “For the past 20 years, @peaceovrviolnce has run its #DenimDay campaign on a Wednesday in April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The campaign began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court where a conviction was overturned because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who d her remove her jeans, thereby implying consent. The following day, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the victim. Peace Over Violence developed the Denim Day campaign in response to this case and the activism surrounding it. Since then, it has become a symbol of protest against erroneous and destructive attitudes about harassment, abuse, assault and .”
Happy Earth Day 🌎 thank you, Mother Nature, for the cherry blossoms 🌸
But first, we brunch 🥂
With decision deadlines approaching, I’ve gotten a lot of questions about my MPH program at @columbiapublichealth. So, I decided to start chronicling my grad school experience on YouTube again 🔗 Link in my bio!
“On the last weekday of #NPHW, join us as we stand up for climate science, urge lawmakers to curb carbon emissions, and call for funding to help ready our communities for the health effects of climate change.” @americanpublichealth . “Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists agree that human activity is driving a climate crisis all across the Earth... The choice is ours. We can solve this crisis. We can power our lives and economies without destroying our planet. But we have to act now.” @climatereality
