⭐️ R E A L T A L K ⭐️ I came home from Thailand and Cambodia with West Nile and Dengue Fever. I had a 103 Fever, neck and back pain, headaches, a rash on my hand and feet and extreme fatigue and have never felt worse. This past week I felt well enough to teach my @flywheelsports classes, but was not myself. My body has been fighting to get better and there was nothing left for performance. In fairness I didn’t know until yesterday that I had both viruses, but I could feel that I needed rest. In my first picture you can see how much weight I’ve lost (10lb) in my face and neck especially. I haven’t weighed 125 since I was 14 years old and rarely weigh myself anymore. To be honest, when I saw that number there was a part of me that got excited after being conditioned to be long to be thin for so long. For years i had wanted desperately to be under 130lb. Looking at the pic, I much prefer to be healthy 135lb Holly. I’m taking it easy. I’m not working out. I’m sleeping and eating. I’m also so grateful for my health. When your body says STOP. Listen. We are in this for the long run. #rest Huge Thank You to @jenniford1 for taking care of me on the 20 hour trip home and for an entire week following. She has nursed me back to health with love and care. Love is EVERYTHING ❤️❤️❤️

Found it challenging at times to squeeze workouts in on this trip. Inactivity makes me feel 👎🏾 Although I’d much rather run, swim, hike or surf while on vaca, between food poisoning, extreme heat and lack of space - the second half of the trip made it tough! @jenniford1 and I did an easy, no equipment needed workout you can do poolside. • Sit Ups. • Elbow to hand Planks. • “Box” Jumps. • Side Plank w Crunch. • Dips. • Squats. 60s each exercise for 4 rounds 💪🏽
Humbled and awestruck by the wonder of Angkor Wat. 400 acres of Temples built by hand and then covered by forests for over 500 years. We wandered through the ancient temples for hours originally built for Hindus and converted for Buddhist worship. Our tour guide was my same age, his parents and entire family were killed when he was 6 months old by the Khmer Rouge. His heartbreaking story and now triumphant life is a reflection of the hope and rebirth this country possesses. One of the greatest experiences of my life.
Cambodia 🇰🇭 Too close to miss the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. Blown away by the authentic architecture and detail of Phum Baitang. I first discovered Thailand 15 years ago. I had just retired from professional basketball and had no idea what was next. I booked a ticket after watching a movie about this majestic country (The Beach!) in search of adventure, inspiration and beauty. I stayed for over a month. Alone. I never could have predicted the twists and turns my life would take over the next decade. A move to NYC. A TV Show. A book. A career that brings me as much joy and fulfillment as the game of basketball.
