Introducing... the BOOK FAIRY OSCARS! Yes that's right. A celebration for book lovers around the WORLD to get involved with ๐Ÿ† This event is to celebrate great books that have been made into films... and as it's our first ever one we aren't limited to new ones! ๐Ÿ“š Unlike the film Oscars, we need YOUR votes to help us choose the winners! ๐Ÿฅ‡ What are the Book Fairy Oscars? ๐Ÿ’š The are awards we'll give toย books turned into movies. We tried to pick the best books we could think of for each of the categories. How can I vote? โœ” To vote you'll need to go to https://goo.gl/xmtCk1 and choose your favourite in each or at least some of the categories. You don't have to vote in each category if you don't want to, but we appreciate each vote. ONE VOTE PER PERSON so use it wisely! What happens next? We will close the voting on Feb 27th and announce the winners around the time of the Oscars and we're preparing some special book drops on that day as well. We can't wait to see which books win! Don't forget to invite your friends to vote as well!

The February read for The Fairy Book Club is Breathing under Water by Sophie Hardcastle. The theme this month is personal stories and the country is Australia. As always, we ran a little giveaway on Goodreads and off they go in the post today! ๐Ÿ“ฎ If you want to join the club just Google "the fairy book club" ๐Ÿ’š About the book: Ben and Grace Walker are twins. Growing up in a sleepy coastal town it was inevitable theyโ€™d surf. Always close, they hung out more than most brothers and sisters, surfing together for hours as the sun melted into the sea. At seventeen, Ben is a rising surf star, the golden son and the boy all the girls fall in love with. Beside him, Grace feels like she is a mere reflection of his light. In their last year of school, the world beckons, full of possibility. For Grace, finishing exams and kissing Harley Matthews is just the beginning. Then, one day, the unthinkable. The sun sets at noon and suddenly everything that was safe and predictable is lost. And everything unravels.

About the book: At the 1936 Be" at Monroe, Louisiana - 1713392858055508044

Who will find Who Was Jesse Owens by James Buckley Jr at the Affinity Orthopedic Clinic? About the book: At the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics, track and field star Jesse Owens ran himself straight into international glory by winning four gold medals. But the life of Jesse Owens is much more than a sports story. Born in rural Alabama under the oppressive Jim Crow laws, Owens's family suffered many hardships. As a boy he worked several jobs like delivering groceries and working in a shoe repair shop to make ends meet. But Owens defied the odds to become a sensational student athlete, eventually running track for Ohio State. He was chosen to compete in the Summer Olympics in Nazi Germany where Adolf Hitler was promoting the idea of โ€œAryan superiority.โ€ Owensโ€™s winning streak at the games humiliated Hitler and crushed the myth of racial supremacy once and for all.
