I’m having a really hard time with Milenas tantrums right now.. for a one year old she definitely knows her own mind and that’s fine, amazing actually and I totally encourage her to explore her world in any way she likes. But with her being so busy and inquisitive, it means that things like changing her bum are becoming a huge task! I’ve never seen anything like it.. she becomes an actual wriggle demon, runs away with a dirty bum and screams and fights me until it’s over.. I’m hoping it’s just a phase and soon she’ll realise that it’s over in a couple of minutes and how much nicer it is to be clean 🙄 she’s just a gal who doesn’t mind sitting in her own crap.. literally 😂🙈 . . . . . #thehappymama

There’s so much pressure to be perfect these days.. the perfect mum, sister, wife, homemaker. To have the perfect house, drive the perfect car, raise the perfect child. It’s hard work! Social media has a huge affect on people’s mental wellbeing.. it’s very easy to not feel good enough and always be worrying that you have the best of everything just to “look” good even if that means you’re breaking the bank to do so! I’m one of the worst people for it.. I get myself down because my home doesn’t look like a show home, because I don’t always look pristine and most of the time my life is not “instagram-worthy” - so I’m making a conscious effort to remind myself that I AM good enough, that my home is lovely, cosy & a roof over mine and my little girls head and that I am a great mum! No.. not everything in my house is brand new, infact most of it is second hand, not all of it matches and I’m working with things I have been given to “put me on” but that’s fine.. because everyone has to start somewhere and it has no reflection on how much LOVE radiates through this house. I’m gradually making changes, slowly but surely, when money allows.. to both our little home and our lifestyle and for that.. I am proud! I’m proud of what I’ve achieved so far and I’m proud of the way my mindset is slowly changing in a way that makes me HAPPY and GRATEFUL for everything I have and everything I’m able to do. So here’s to our ever changing lives, I’m blessed to be able to share all of my trials and wins with my little bestie and teach her that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have the best of everything, it’s about being grateful in your heart for what you DO have.. because there are people in the world with much, much less. . . . . . #thehappymama

I’m enjoying a baby free Sunday afternoon (a very rare occurrence!) It’s so funny.. you look forward to having time to yourself then when you get it... well, what do I do now? ✔️ soak in the bath with a cuppa ✔️ finished a show I’ve been dying to watch ✔️ house is clean So now what? I’ve been looking into the health benefits of Tai Chi.. I already love yoga (although finding the time and motivation to actually do it is a struggle) but I’d like something free flowing that I can do at home.. does anyone have any recommendations? . . . . . #thehappymama
