I love mushrooms because they are one of the few veggies which require very less of effort to make it tasty. The unique flavors from mushrooms make anything tasty. So when I look to make something quick, tasty and vegetarian this is what I look up to! 😃 One of the best things about mushrooms is that they're absolutely very low in fat and calories in addition to sugar and carbs. They also have good amount of fiber and protein. There are so many ways to save nature's balance but these two are my most preferred measures along with a few other. But to help nature, you should keep yourself cool and calm first. And I find this is the best way to make it happen. Watermelon juice with a citric hint of lemon juice, energizing honey drops and refreshing mint leaves, topped with chat masala. My husband loves to snack on junk and has a lot of sweet cravings, which results into endless amount of chocolates and desserts in the house. The only way out of this, I concluded, was to give him something healthy that satisfied his hunger pangs and sweet cravings! So I finally made these "Protein Laddoos/Balls". I can't believe they tasted so amazing that my husband's hooked onto them! So this a win-win item at home 😃 Recipe: ▪ 1/2 cup oats ▪ 1/4 cup ragi flour ▪ 1/2 cup almond flour ▪ 1 tspn desiccated coconut ▪ 1.5 tblspn flaxseed meal ▪ 1/4 cup dry roasted almonds ▪ handful pistachios ▪ 1 tblspn sprouted sunflower seeds ▪ handful walnuts ▪ 1 tblspn melted jaggery ▪ 2 tblspns coconut oil ▪ 1 tspn ghee(optional) ▪ 1 tspn Chocolate chip ▪ 1 tblspn sesame seeds ▪ 2 pitted dates Dry roast oats until a nice aroma comes and grind it finely into a flour like texture. In the same pan dry roast ragi flour for sometime. Keep aside both flours until they cool down. Now roast the sesame seeds and keep aside. Now in a food processor add all the above ingredients except sesame seeds and run it until all ingredients have combined very well. Now taste the mixture to check on the sugar level. Add more jaggery powder or honey to this mixture if you want more sweet. The resulting mixture should be sticky(See pic 3). Now take it in a bowl and keep it in the fridge for about 30 minutes. After about 30 minute roll out the sticky dough into balls. I made them into small bite sized ones and I got around 21 in total. If you're counting your macros then here's the distribution per laddo(this is as per my approximations and laddo size, yours could be different ): Protein : 3g Fat : 4.5g Carbs : 6g So this is super filling and yum! 😋 . . . . . . #nutriliving

This is me trying to start the week full of positive vibes! ❤😃 I know I've been missing out on posting for a while now, that's because I haven't been able to get my mind at one thing for long time. Been a rough last week. Lost a family member unexpectedly and being away from family at such events totally upsets even more. I only wish and pray God to give the family peace and strength to overcome this difficult situation. Since I hadn't done much of cooking, here's a plate of "heart dosas " which I made with leftover dosa batter 😊 Recipe: I added 2 scoops of ragi powder to around 1.5 cups of leftover dosa batter and let sit for 15 minutes. Add water if it thickens too much. Now add salt and chopped veggies (I added carrots, onions & chilies) and pour it in heart shapes on tawa and let cook on both sides till done. This slushie (for lack of a better word) is a regular at home during the summer months. Just freeze cubed & de-seeded watermelon, then blitz in a high powdered blender along with some fresh mint, lime juice and (if the watermelon isn’t sweet enough) any sweetener of your choice to taste. Serve topped with a sprinkling of black salt (kala namak) and enjoy. 🍉🍧 So easy and so good! Happy Tuesday people. 😋💕 . . . . #nutriliving
