The onset of monsoon is eagerly awaited by most of us. As the rains 🌧breathe life to the earth and the land turns into a sea of green we need to take a moment to appreciate the wonders of nature and be grateful to Mother 🌍 for her plentiful bounty. . . It is also the time to make small changes and lead a more sustainable lifestyle, plant more trees 🌳 and try to reverse land degradation. . . Land degradation is basically land becoming unfit for cultivation because of deforestation, excessive use of fertilisers and pesticides, water erosion and water logging among other things. Time for the pressure cooker! Last days we spent together as team to evaluate and get ready for the next steps in the Ecosystem Kickstarter project. We share the same vision and dream: restoring the degraded lands of the world and strive towards a healthy and lush world. Idealistic? Yes, and we like it! #landdegradation 🐶🐶🐶

Today, 17 June 2019, is World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, dedicated to raising awareness about the harmful effects of desertification in arid regions of the world that result from changes in climate and various human activities. Some these impacts include land degradation, human displacement, and water scarcity. ⠀ ⠀ However, though many of the issues that stem from desertification cannot be undone, their expansion can be prevented if everyone unites to make a consolidated effort to achieve land degradation neutrality. Let’s grow the future together!⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #landdegradation
