“Settling for crumbs doesn’t keep you fed - it keeps you starving.” - Danielle La Porte ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Beauties, a little reminder to check your inner compass. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What do you want to experience in life? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then check with your inner dialogue. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ How I supporting this intention? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If those two answers do not align, you are probably spinning your wheels in the mud and feeling stuck - feeling starved of joy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It doesn’t work to daydre about an outcome, while also indulging in worries and negativity. I use the word indulge purposefully. 😙 There is a pleasure found in imagining the worst outcomes, in scripting stories of your victimhood, but all it does is attract low vibe experiences into your life and block your dres from reaching you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It is natural and human to feels fears. It’s wise to acknowledge them and work with them. At a certain point though, you must rise above them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When a negative thought arises, say “next” or “I safe. I brave. I doing XYZ” or “I loved and supported. I release my fear.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Or whatever phrase inoculates you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Fears and doubts, if left to run ok in your mind, will hold you back, hold you down and keep you out of alignment with your truth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There’s a line in a song I love. “Truth is harder than a lie.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the short term it might seem that lying is easier, but when we compromise, lie to ourselves (because all lies start within) and maybe then lie to others, we rob ourselves of peace and success. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Are you settling for crumbs from life? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Are you compromising your truth in some way? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The good news is we can rewrite those fearful scripts. 🤨 Highly sensitive people can't make mistakes. Here's why... ‍ One of the hardest things about being a highly sensitive or empathic human is managing our DEEEEEEEEP emotions. ‍ We FEEL things in a way other people don’t (hell, some of us literally feel the feelings of others). ‍ And unfortunately, that means a lot of us put the wrong meaning on mistakes and A LOT OF ENERGY into feeling BADLY about them. ‍ Highly sensitive humans have a huge FEAR OF FAILURE. ‍ But guess what? ‍ 👉 BIG ASS MISTAKES DON'T NEED BIG ASS STORIES ATTACHED 🔥 ‍ Putting the wrong meaning on mistakes is super problematic because: ‍ ✅ When we can’t look objectively at our mistakes we miss out on learning how we can improve next time because we get stuck in the low energy vortex (otherwise known as a shame spiral) ✅Getting into shame spirals does ZILCH for building the confidence & resilience you need to keep on trucking ✅Self-disgust is HUGELY distracting from staying focused on what needs to get done ✅Being stuck in your head feeling awful about something you DID takes you miles away from being present with WHAT IS available right in front of you ‍ 👊 Just like we need to green the planet, we all need to learn to grace our mistakes with a little more compion and objectivity. ‍ YOU CAN MAKE MISTAKES, just don't make them mean something they are not: ‍ 👉 such as "proof" that you're not capable or worthy of doing, being or having the thing you want most. 💖 ‍ Do you find it hard to look at your mistakes objectively without attaching a story?
