@donnamaria19612 with @get_repost ・・・ 🖊 The Jane Goodall Institute has posted a petition which calls out @therealtarzann for using Primates for Social Media Fame. Instagram, Facebook, and You Tube is literally fuelling a very horrific industry of poaching, and wildlife exploitation by people like and others who portray wild animals as pets. So many of these accounts are gaining a massive audience and it’s making the good efforts of people all around the world who fight to protect these animals from becoming someone’s pet. These accounts are not helping conservation efforts and the petition is directed at the Social Media Platforms. Currently we have no options available to report wildlife exploitation and social media platforms have a big responsibility to protect the animals with more than just a wildlife exploitation hashtag alert. I can’t tell you how many people tell me that when they see people like Dean Schneider kissing lions or bushing a lions mane is cute and just showing love. It’sa deeper problem than what meets the eye. It’s promoting the ownership of a wild animal as a pet and these social media influencers may believe they love the animals in their care but they are showing them to an audience of millions which in turn is making the work @janegoodallinst that much harder. For example the video I posted from The Real Tarzan’s account. The link to this petition is on my bio page. Click @donnamaria1961 ✅ Please sign, share and let’s try to stop the exploitation that’s running rampant on social media platforms once and for all. 🐒🦁🐯 Thank you 🙏🏻 #Canned Hunting Caption by @donnamaria1961 Video credit to @therealtarzann
