Scorpion Spine

From an article on @yahoofinance: “According to a note from Barclays Research, construction workers are nearly six times more likely than other industries to develop an opioid addiction.” — This crisis is due to workers having to work long hours in caused by repetitive, awkward motions & injuries sustained on the job. Many of these injuries could be avoided or more quickly remedied if the workers were wearing the Scorpion Spine. — The Scorpion Spine is an innovative and clever product expressly designed to return the back and spine to proper posture and alignment after any motion by the user. The mobility afforded by wearing the Scorpion Spine is unprecedented by any other product intended for use in stabilizing and returning the user’s back and spine to their proper aligned position after physical activity. The product will also prevent the user from action and movement that would be damaging to the back and spine during physical movement. #backinjury

Nice short sequence to stretch out those glutes, and lower back...hold each position for at least 5 breaths...I pushed to 10 breaths on some as I felt so tight... add a little movement to create more of an active stretch over a static stretch if that feels better... listen to your ... and move with your breath...🙏🏽🧡🕯 . . 🖤💙🧡❤💚💜 🙏🏽 #backinjury

Tasmania becoming the first Australian state to legislate to make it easier for public servants to make a claim for post-traumatic stress disorder. This change means that when workers make a claim following a diagnosis of work-related trauma PTSD, the default presumption is that the cause is work-related. It is hoped that this legislation will mean a lot to workers who, while already suffering mental injury as a direct result of their work, have historically been further injured through the adversarial worker's compensation process. We can only hope that the rest of Australia gets behind this change soon too! ⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #backinjury

Little progress video of what I’ve been doing at the chiropractor! I didn’t wanna show getting adjusted just yet because I do want to check with my doctor first about filming everything! But this machine makes me so happy and really helps my muscles relax and catch up with the adjustments we’re doing! I’ll explain soon in a longer post of what I have going on BUT I in the best hands and care of an AMAZING chiropractor. I was very nervous to start going but this was a great decision I made and not being in anymore will truly be an azing feeling. #backinjury

This is my “I love rehab” face. Doing my posture restoration exercises daily that Dr. Joe Vomvas gave me from @modus.health in Toronto. I stayed an extra day in Toronto after the Ride to Conquer Cancer to see him. He’s the only practitioner that has been able to heal my exercise injuries over the years. Also how bout those forehead veins?!?! - All the activation, isolation and isometric exercises as well as a boat load of pistol with an elevated heel and with the TRX. - Finish off with 30 mins of walking. Oh how cardio looks different right now. But it allows me to watch Netflix. Just finished the Animal Kingdom series. So I need a new one... but not really. I got goals to get and Netflix is definitely a good distraction (at times)!
