You deserve a weekend. It doesnโ€™t need to be a whole 2 day weekend of doing nothing BUT you deserve the chance to recharge and look forward to time dedicated to nourishing your soul. Running our own business, Adam and I went through a time of manic workload that eventually took away our โ€˜weekendsโ€™. We literally were working every day and lost the excitement of looking forward to a day off (or even a couple of hours off). It got to the point weโ€™re we were worn out. We love our work, itโ€™s always been a passion for us. But now we have realised how important it is to dedicate time each week for โ€˜usโ€™. You NEED time away from your hustle, your โ€˜jobโ€™, your obsession. Just so you can simply re-charge, and maybe even โ€˜zone outโ€™ with an activity that brings you nothing but pure joy (Iโ€™m actually learning the guitar at the moment! Iโ€™m terrible, but I really enjoy learning and completely switching off from everything else that is going on in my life! โ˜บ๏ธ๐ŸŽธ) SO. Take time for you. Even if itโ€™s just an hour or so. Zone out. Focus in. Happy Weekend fam โœจโ™ฅ๏ธ .

PARTNER ROW (Notice how Adam keeps his shoulder blades pulled together & back straight) 2. BURPEE JUMP OVER (If you cant jump over the middle, jump over the ankles) 3. LEG LIFT SWING (Keep your abs pulled in & lower back glued to the ground!) 4. PLANK SQUAT COMBO (Notice how Adam leans back & keeps his chest up & shoulder blades pulled back) 5. AFTER WORKOUT WHOLE BODY STRETCH ๐Ÿ˜Œ This stretching flow is one of my favourites following a workout...it targets almost every area of your body๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ Our body is a โ€˜chain reactionโ€™ of muscle groups (which means each muscle effect the muscles around it) so itโ€™s really important to work on whole body flexibility to keep you at your most functional, effective & injury free self! ๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Hold each position for 10 long deep breaths 1. PRONE SPINAL TWIST (Notice how I slide my elbows up toward the top of my mat to get correct shoulder position to stretch the pecs) 2. PUPPY POSE (Gradually crawl fingertips forward for deeper stretch) 3. HIP FLEXOR FLOW (In all positions, keep your belly button drawn IN to increase stretch in the front of the hip and prevent โ€˜dumpingโ€™ weight into your lower back) 4. HAMSTRING STRETCH (Whenever you stretch hamstrings, always think โ€˜belly button to thighโ€™ and fold from the hips. DONโ€™T round your back! I only bring head to knee for the last 2 breaths) 5. DOWN DOG PEDAL (Press the heels down firmly for deep calf stretch) 6. PIGEON POSE (Keep your front foot FLEXED to avoid twisting in the knee) 7. RAG DOLL TO FORWARD FOLD (Start with Ragdoll - bent knees pressing belly & chest to thighs...this releases lower back > you can choose arm variation to further stretch the shoulders and chest. Finish in Forward Fold - Aim to lengthen spine & fold from the hips) 8. SIDE BEND & PEC STRETCH (Side body flexibility is super important for lower back pain prevention! Finish with the pec stretch really focusing on squeezing the elbows together behind you) . Remember stretching after your workouts is one of the best times to work on your flexibility & healthy range of motion...not only because you will ACTUALLY remember to stretch but also because your body is nice and warm and more responsive to stretching stimulus! ๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ abโ™ฅ๏ธx .
